According to statistics from Fact.MR, the global market for stand-up paddle boarding will be USD $1.5 billion in 2022 and USD $3.8 billion by 2032 (CAGR of 9.7% between 2022 and 2032).

The same study reveals that SUP demand is expanding in Europe. One of the most popular European countries for SUP is France, with this watersport accounting for 10% of all surfing activities. There are 680,000 active surfers in France, says the French Surfing Federation. The UK and Germany follow behind with numbers of those participating in SUP.

Google Trends shows that "SUP boards" is a term with a high volume of searches in June and July 2021. Countries with the highest number of searches worldwide were Denmark, The Netherlands, and Germany, in respective order.

We can also see that dry bags are the three top countries for this search are Singapore, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

Dry bags come in various sizes, usually between 5 and 30 liters, high-visibility colours, and a detachable shoulder strap. They can also attach to float underneath SUP boards during trips, or inside a kayak.

Gym Bench

The global home fitness equipment market is set to increase from USD $10.7 billion in 2021 to USD $14.7 in 2028, according to Fortune Business Insights. As people have become more interested in health and fitness following Covid-19, this market looks profitable especially in North America and Europe.

Searches for "gym bench" on Google had a huge spike in April 2020 but have continued to stay popular even as people returned to commercial gyms. A report from Global Data found that "half of UK consumers purchased home workout products during the pandemic and 75% intend to continue working out at home post-pandemic". In the UK, gym benches were the second most popular product purchased in the home gym equipment category, as reported by Statista. The search term "gym leggings" has a promising outlook when we look at Google Trends. The number of searches worldwide has increased substantially in the past ten years. From January 2021 until January 2022, the countries with the most number of searches were Ireland, the United Kingdom, St. Helena, Australia, and New Zealand.

TikTok sparked a huge trend for gym-related videos including workout clothing hauls. One particular sports item, the "scrunch gym legging," went viral. These flattering women's leggings from Amazon were cited as a holy grail find as they give a shapely silhouette to almost any body type. Other popular TikTok videos feature women's gym clothing from Amazon. There is potential in this market niche for women's gym leggings to compete with brands such as Gymshark.

Dumbbells are one of the bestselling items in the sports and outdoor category on Amazon as of January 2022. On Google, the number of searches for "dumbbells" still looks lucrative following the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Canada are the top three countries for the number of searches worldwide. "Adjustable dumbbells" is also the most searched related query.

A pair of dumbbells with numerous weights are popular as they can be used for different levels of workouts, target specific muscles in the body, and for improving strength.
